Cold weather changes for Edible Estates

CaldersCommunityGardenSignedibleestates

Wester Hailes Edibles Estates have announced changes to the schedule of some of their events due to the recent bad weather. Please see their announcement below.

Hi Calders gardeners,

the weather has definitely not been good for gardening so far in January. I met Ruth and Blair and little Quinn at the garden on Saturday and it was just too cold to enjoy being outside. With this in mind we have decided to temporarily reduce the number of workshops that we have organized at the moment, and put on extra ones when the weather warms up.

The forecast for this weekend suggests that the temperature will barely climb above freezing so there will be nothing on at the garden this weekend. Also we have postponed all Sunday workshops until March when we will be able to run them in what will hopefully be better weather. I still run workshops on Saturday afternoons but only if the weather permits.

So no workshops this weekend. Saturday pm workshops only in January and February. I will of course update you if any other Saturday workshops are cancelled because of bad weather.

Here’s looking forward to some warmer weather.
