The Wester Hailes Wasps new under 10s and under 12s teams met for the second time on Wednesday 29 April 2015, and there are still spaces left for anyone who wants to join in the fun. An increase in things for young people to do was something highlighted by the community at the recent Open Space event: this could be an excellent opportunity to be part of and support a local sports team.
The teams meet on Wednesdays 4.00pm – 5.00pm at WHEC. The Wester Hailes Wasps are the new Wester Hailes team in the South West Edinburgh Basketball Club with others being the Currie and Balerno Bears.
The club aims to:
encourage people to play sport and act as a pathway for young people from community clubs to senior basketball clubs, such as Heriot-Watt University Basketball Club.
