Unused Nappies collection at library

Wester Hailes Library

Wester Hailes library will be taking part in nappiRunz next week, 13 July – 18 July 2015, collecting any donations of unused nappies.

The nappies will be donated to charities supporting families in need. They welcome any unused nappies and ask that any loose nappies should be placed in a carrier bag.

This will be the first nappiRunz campaign and they will be collecting nappies at a variety of places across the city next week.

From the nappiRunz facebook page.

The idea is to have a Nappy run three times a year where Mums, Dads, Grandparents, Aunties, Uncles, Nieces, Cousins and Friends who have unused nappies can go to a donation point on a set day to donate these nappies. Any unused nappies are welcomed, even if they are out of their packaging. These will then be collected and distributed to charities that support families in need. Some of which include Edinburgh Women’s aid and Shakti Women’s aid.
