Police Scotland are appealing for information following an incident in Barn Park Crescent, Wester Hailes where three men with knives forced their way into a house.
The incident happened in the early hours of Monday (21st September).
The suspects are described as being in their early twenties, wearing grey or black hooded tracksuits.
They ran off in the direction of Barn Park Crescent or Clovenstone Road.
Officers are now asking anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Robbie Wallace said:
Thankfully no-one was hurt but this was a frightening experience for the occupants of the house.
We are keen to speak to anyone with information that can help us trace these individuals.
