The Odeon here in Wester Hailes has announced that they will be showing a few special Christmas treats.

The Christmas film classic, Home Alone will be shown on Saturday 12 December 2015, 3.30pm as part of the film’s 25th anniversary.

‘Home Alone’ sees an 8-year-old boy, accidentally left behind while his family flies to France for Christmas, defend his home against idiotic burglars. The bad guys are no match for Kevin’s cunningly clever traps!

The cinema will show Die Hard on Tuesday 15 December 2015, at 8.30pm.

All John McClane wants to do is see his family for Christmas.  But when he arrives at his wife’s office building for her office Christmas party, he finds that the building has been taken over by terrorists and it is up to him to save the day in this action classic, ‘Die Hard’

The cinema will screen the live performance of the Nutcracker by the Royal Ballet on Wednesday 16 December 2015, 7.15pm.

On Christmas Eve, Clara sneaks downstairs to the Christmas tree to play with her new gift, ‘The Nutcracker’, which is in the shape of a little wooden man.

Under the magic of the wizard Drosselmeyer, the Nutcracker comes to life and sweeps Clara off on an adventure, leading them to defeat the army of the villainous Mouse King and travel to the Kingdom of Sweets for an audience with the Sugar Plum Fairy
