Helping Britain Blossom would like to invite you to the Calders Community Garden for a Wassail and soup night on Wednesday 27 January 2016, 4.30pm – 8.00pm.
In the dark month of January it’s traditional for people to gather in orchards for “Wassailing” where they sing and toast the fruit trees in the hopes of a good harvest.
The group will meet at the community garden, next to the canal, at 4.30pm for hot mulled wine and some songs around the fire before heading to the Calder Sheltered Housing Association for some soup and to make plans about the garden.
