Pokémon in Wester Hailes!

Pokémon Go has launched and it’s taking the world by storm, and Wester Hailes is no exception!

Don’t be surprised to see groups of people wandering around shouting and cheering when they catch their favourite pokémon.

Here is our list of important locations if you want to join the latest craze:

There are several Poké Stops in the local area located at community venues. You can use these to collect those much needed items (it will refresh every 5 minutes or so) or attach a lure module and catch more and rarer pokémon. These include:

• The Totem Pole
• The large stone in the Plaza
• WHALE Arts Centre
• Embassy of the word of God Church, located in Murrayburn House
• The map in the centre of the plaza.

Nearby Gyms, where you can battle other trainers and score points for your team, as well as earn poké coins include:

• The Baberton to Wester Hailes bridge
• The petrified dog statue on the canal
