IDEAL for saving energy

ideal-image

Changeworks is working with the University of Edinburgh to deliver IDEAL, a cutting edge research project on home energy use. They are looking for households in Edinburgh to help with the research. The project is investigating how smart technology can help people find ways to use less gas and electricity in the home. It uses sensors to record energy use and details like temperature and humidity, and gives feedback to help reduce energy use and costs.

The benefits of helping with the research include gaining an insight into home energy use, receiving tailored advice from University of Edinburgh experts and being given a tablet to display energy use information. The project is looking for households based in Edinburgh with a combi boiler and home broadband that are not using prepayment meters. The research runs until June 2018 and participating households need to allow access for sensors to be fitted and for survey visits. For more information please see the leaflet below.
