Vote for SCOREscotland: A City Free From Islamophobia

SCOREscotland would like to ask for your vote for Shared Vision – Your Decision a project run by Police Scotland, the City of Edinburgh Council and the Scottish Government asking Edinburgh residents to take part in a public vote to decide which project will receive up to £5,000 funding.

Organisations across Edinburgh, including local organisation SCOREscotland, have submitted their ideas how they feel they can combat Islamophobia, and this is your chance to decide which projects you feel will be most effective and should be funded.

Tensions around the globe are running high due to recent political events, but we can all do our bit locally to bring communities together.  We need to unite, not divide in times of trouble and unrest.

Please Vote for SCOREscotland as a local organisation doing their bit to challenge Islamophobia in Edinburgh.  You will have 5 choices to pick for projects you would like to support – we are only asking for one of your votes.

We are proposing 3 activities:

Discuss it – Q&A session discussion on Islamophobia and its effect on the community but in a safe and controlled environment

Action it – Using Participative theatre to uncover and challenge Islamophobia through creative approaches

Share it – What have we learnt? Key lessons to be shared in a portable form with local organisations, schools, local people etc.

You can vote in your local library or online here.  Voting closes 13th February 2017.
