Wildfire Theatre: Are you a woman with a story to tell?

Wildfire Theatre will be running a special session at the WHALE Arts Centre on Monday 6 March 2017, 11.00am – 1.00pm, giving local woman a chance to share their own experiences, stories or voice.

Wildfire Theatre is an exciting new new theatre company created by four theatre makers who want to change the perceptions and expectations of working class women.

We want to change the perceptions and raise the expectations others have of us and ultimately working class women may have of themselves.

For our first project we are going into the communities we want to reach.  We are holding sessions to listen to working class women, their stories and how they would like to see themselves portrayed on stage.  We will work with writers or potential writers we meet and share information about existing opportunities.

The result of these sessions shall form the first Wildfire Theatre production.

They will also be hosting events in Royston Wardieburn Community Centre and Leith Community Centre.

Have a look at their poster below for more information.
