Crisis Skylight has released information detailing the March programme for their weekly All About the Hailes class.
‘All About the Hailes’, is a project to share stories and memories of life in Wester Hailes past, and present. A chance to meet others, learn about the area, find out what’s happening now, and learn new media, journalism and literacy skills.
They meet every Tuesday 11.30am – 1.30pm, at Wester Hailes Library. Have a look at their poster below for more details, or contact Will on 0131 209 7700.
Programme of events for March:
- March 7th– ‘The Huts’ Film Showing. Channel 4 documentary filmed in 1985 about the building of the Huts in Wester Hailes. Film starting at 12pm.
- March 14th – See original copies and the archives of The Sentinel community newspaper. Meet at W. Hailes library at 11.30am
- March 21st– The Canal (history talk, and clean-up) with Scottish Waterways Trust
- March 28th – Local History Walk – with Eoghan Howard, local historian and community activist. Meeting at W. Hailes Library at 11.30am to start and end there
