Clovenstone Primary release Gotta Keep Reading Video

Clovenstone Primary has released a short music video sharing their love of reading as part of the Scottish Attainment Challenge.

The video, a parody of The Black Eyed Peas – I Gotta Feeling, contains the school’s primary 4 class who made the video as part of their Scottish Attainment Challenge reading for enjoyment focus.

The video was released on the school’s Youtube channel, you can watch an embedded version below:

Commenting on Twitter the First Minister Nicola Sturgeon shared the video stating:

This video is brilliant – pupils Clovenstone Primary in Wester Hailes sing their love of reading, to a famous tune.

The Scottish Attainment Challenge focuses on achieving equity in educational outcomes. Aiming to ensure every child has the same opportunity to succeed, with a particular focus on closing the poverty-related attainment gap.

The First Minister launched the Scottish Attainment Challenge in February 2015 and later during a speech in Wester Hailes, where she visited Clovenstone Primary School and WHEC, declared improving educational attainment for all children will be the driving ambition of the Scottish Government.
