Wester Hailes Education Centre held their Senior Phase Awards Ceremony for S4, 5 and 6 pupils on Friday 31 March.
The Keynote speaker for the event was Ollie Clegg Director of Evangelism at St Mungo’s Church, Balerno and Livingston. Ollie has had a long association with Wester Hailes Education Centre and he gave a rousing and positive speech encouraging our young people to pursue their ambitions.
After the S4 awards were presented, attendees were entertained by pupil Winnie Thomas who sang Precious Child. The S5 awards were then presented and when completed everyone was treated to a short Drama piece performed by Dean Linton and Danielle Rosie.
The S6, Academic Excellence and Special Awards were then presented, followed by a short speech from Head Teacher Mr Young who went on to thank all those who had participated in the event.
