The Broomhouse Community One Stop Shop will be launching a new drop in providing advice and food bank services at the Calders Community Flat 11.00am – 1.00pm every Wednesday from 25 October to 20 December 2017.
The sessions are for everyone and will provide help with Welfare and benefit issues, providing an info pack with advice as well as listing some more obscurer benefits that people may be entitled to, as well as Food Bank services. The drop in will be able to help with phone application but due to time constraints will not be able to help with completing forms.
The group already runs a Friday drop in at the Community One Stop Shop every Friday 9.00am – 12.00pm, has an advice worker in Monday to Friday 9.00am – 1.00pm and hosts CHAI 9.00am – 2.00p. They hope that should the Calders session prove helpful and funding can be secured then it could be continued in the new year.
