With Kids Consultation sessions at Sighthill Primary

With Kids will be holding two consultations at Sighthill Primary school this Friday, 17 November 2017, asking local people in the Calders how they feel about their area.

The consultation will be split into two sessions, in the afternoon 12.30pm – 2.00pm at Sighthill Primary Gym hall and in the evening 5.30pm – 7.00pm at Sighthill Primary Learning Hub. These sessions will be a chance to discuss some of the feedback the group has received from an ongoing questionnaire with local people. They will also be asking residents how they feel about the estate using the Placestandard tool, with artist Keith Liddle on hand (organised by WHALE Arts and their new creative placemaker Helena Barrett) to create a community map highlighting the areas and issues raised by local people. Food and drinks will be provided during these sessions with activities for children available during the afternoon.

With Kids plan to use the results of the consultation to apply for funding to expand upon their current work with pupils in Sighthill Primary to provide more for the whole community.

As part of the Consultation, With Kids have created a questionnaire with the chance of winning a £50 shopping voucher. A copy of the questionnaire should have already been distributed to pupils of Sighthill Primary School but an online version is available here. The deadline for completing the questionnaire is tomorrow, Wednesday 15 November 2017.
