The City of Edinburgh Council are looking to recruit a Pupil Support Assistant based at Clovenstone Primary School.
The post is fixed-term until 28 June 2019, working 20 hours per week during term time with a salary of £15,285 to £17,191 (pro rata for part-time and sessional) plus living wage allowance if applicable.
The post will be in the nursery class, working one to one with a learner with additional support needs. The successful candidate will possess the ability to establish nurturing relationships and prove adaptable and responsive to individual pupil needs.The ability to relate to parents and other professionals will be essential, particularly with regards to meeting the needs of the child who they will be assigned to. The successful candidate will also be able to contribute positively to the ethos and life of Clovenstone Nursery Class, working cooperatively as part of the nursery team ans communicating effectively with others. The successful candidate will require to be SSSC registered or apply to register.
This post is considered regulated work with vulnerable children and/or Protected Adults under the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by City of Edinburgh Council.
