WHALE Arts is so incredibly proud of the members of the Poetry group and all they have achieved over the year. The poetry group has become an incredibly successful project we hope to continue as part of our core adult programme. It is has formed into this wonderfully safe and open environment which strives to nurture the amazing talents of its participants, led by Hannah Lavery from the Scottish Poetry Library and Jess Orr from Open Book Scotland. This event has evolved from the Scottish Poetry Library residency that has taken place in Wester Hailes over 2018 and will continue into next year. The residency begun with a 4 week taster block at the library, and taster sessions with groups across Wester Hailes. The group now runs regularly at WHALE Arts fortnightly.
