WHALE Arts Shortlisted For A Creative Edinburgh Award

WHALE Arts has announced they have been shortlisted for a Creative Edinburgh Award in the Social Award category.

The Category looks to recognise the projects and people that use creativity to pioneer ideas, create change and support and engage communities.

They are one of four organisations shortlisted with the others being:

Award winners will be announced on  Thursday 12th November.

This is the second time WHALE Arts has been shortlisted in the Social Award category, with their Steet Arts project previously winning the category in 2016. Street Arts runs weekly arts activities out on streets in Wester Hailes for children and young people aged 5-16. Activities include art, music, drama, dance and photography.

The Creative Edinburgh Awards aim to highlight great ideas, inspired thinking and outstanding creativity. Awarded by Creative Edinburgh, there are 10 award categories and you can see the full shortlist for this years awards here.
