Wester Hailes Library will be holding a special storytelling and craft session with celebrated children’s author & illustrator Morag Hood on Friday 18 March 2022, 2.30pm.
The session is for children aged 3-5 and their parents or carers with younger siblings also welcome.
Morag Hood has written and illustrated many children’s picture books. I AM BAT was shortlisted for the Bookbug Picture Book Prize 2019, meaning it was gifted to every P1 child in Scotland. Visit Morag Hood’s website.

The event is part Scottish Book Trust’s Bookbug Exhibition currently taking place at the library. If you have not yet seen the exhibition, please head along to the library and have a look! It’s celebrating 10 years of Bookbug bags, featuring all the books that have been gifted to babies, toddlers and nursery-aged children. It also includes a jumbo Bookbug jigsaw to play with, and a ‘selfie’/ photo picture frame to use.
