The Community Wellbeing Collective, a group of people from and connected to Wester Hailes who have been working with Edinburgh Art Festival, would like to invite everyone to the Opening Ceremony of the Watch This Space programme.
The ceremony will take place this Saturday 30 July 2022, at the Community Wellbeing Space, a vacant store space at Westside Plaza which the Collective will be taking over to offer a month of wellbeing activities. The ceremony will begin at 12noon with a Collective Ritual for Change – affirmations for the future of the space led by Susi O’Rourke with music by Alec Cooper. There will then be a screening of films expressing C.W.C. Wellbeing offerings filmed and edited by Rachel McBrinn, and ending with a set of good mood tunes mixed by DJ Eunice Olumide.
The Watch This Space programme of activities are organised and delivered by the group covering everything from meditation, stretches, juicing, food preserving, reflexology, upcycling, henna, yoga, affirmations and much more.
The events will all take place Wednesday to Friday 1.00pm – 8.00pm and Saturday to Sunday 11.00am – 6.00pm. You can see an online schedule of the activities here.
All the events are free, with a creche provided during the Weekend Anchor Events. The Community Wellbeing Collective is a project ran in partnership with WHALE Arts and the Edinburgh Art Festival.
