The Sunflower Pantry is looking for dedicated volunteers to assist then in running the weekly Food pantry located in Clovenstone Community Centre.
About the Pantry
The Sunflower Pantry is part of the Your Local Pantry franchise offering a more sustainable and dignified solution to food insecurity. Local residents in Wester Hailes can sign up to become members, pay a small weekly fee and get a wide range of food items plus sanitary products and pet food. Volunteers will support us by providing great customer service, taking payments and deliveries, restocking shelves and much more! Inspire & influence local people to eat more locally grown food, eat more seasonably & adopt healthier, sustainable diets.
Experience required
Good communication skills, high enthusiasm and energy. REHIS Food Hygiene Level 2 (Training can be provided). Empathy and understanding of those who may be experience food insecurity/poverty.
The pantry is ran by the Health Agency and Wester Hailes growing Communities.
