Planning Futures for Parents Course

Are you a parent that is currently unemployed? Are you working towards building a career and would like practical support and guidance to help you get there? Space will be holding a Planning Futures for Parents course that could be of interest!

Planning Futures for Parents is a five week course that focuses on personal development and preparing you for paid employment – whether that’s something you’re returning to now that your children are a little older, or if this is your first opportunity to experience the world of work.

As part of a friendly and judgement-free group environment, each session covers valuable skills such as how to work effectively as part of a team and how to develop key communication and job-seeking skills.

The next course takes place:

  • 14th August – 11th September
  •  Every Monday, 9.30am -12.30pm

It is completely free to attend thanks to funding from Capital City Partnership, with travel costs covered where required. At the end of the course all members will receive a Certificate of Achievement to showcase their commitment to building better futures.

This is a very popular course and places are limited, so if you are interested in signing up please get in touch with their Training and Employability Project Worker, Hazel Lyons, on 07821 640515 or e-mail hazel.lyons@spacescot.org!
