Wester Hailes library will be holding Sewing Machine Lessons on Monday 18 December 2023, 10.30am – 3.00pm with Scottish Designer Cerri McKenzie.
The workshop will help you learn some sewing machine basics, or even act as a refresher if it’s been a while since you’ve used one. It is part of the library’s new lend and mend hub.
The purpose of the hub is:
- Mending facility – free to use equipment and tools for you to give your goods a new life
- An information hub to find out how you can repair, reuse and recycle in your local community
- Workshops and classes to share and improve your mending, reuse and upcycling skills
