Wester Hailes is an area of Edinburgh which is rich in diversity, both with people and the many different languages spoken and read in the area.
FACT – It’s estimated that up to 7,000 different languages are spoken around the world. Over a million people converse in 150-200 languages and 46 languages have just a single speaker!
If you are able to write in another language and would like to share an article with us in your community language, then please get in contact with us. This could be anything from a poem or short story, to you covering an event or meeting. Should you wish to provide an article or news report in your community language, then all we would ask is that you provide the English translation alongside. We would love to hear from you!
