Members of the Dove Centre Over 50’s group got a festive gift from City of Edinburgh Lions Club President Andrew Kerr Sutherland and Honorary Lion Lord Provost Donald Wilson after a recent talk to the group about the work of Lions Clubs International.
Ishbel Beaton was the first member to receive a Lion Message in a Bottle which is used to alert emergency services when attending an incident at home. A sticker near the front door and on the fridge alerts them to the fact that there is a bottle containing the person’s wishes and medical information in the fridge for quick reference.
City of Edinburgh Lions Club is keeping in contact with the Dove Centre with a view to supporting them in an environment in the future.
