Wester Hailes had a Royal visitor today when The Princess Royal visited WHALE to join in discussions being carried on by CSCLeaders who visited Edinburgh Zoo first of all and then came out to Wester Hailes.
There have of course been Royal visitors to this area before! We unearthed these photos from the Sentinel archives……
HRH The Prince of Wales visited here in July 1988 which marked the establishment of the new Wester Hailes Partnership.
This is a photo of Her Majesty the Queen and HRH Prince Philip who visited Wester Hailes Education Centre in July 1980 for what we believe was a belated opening ceremony.
