WHALE Arts centre has been getting a bit of a makeover this week from a group of handy volunteers. The volunteers, who are all taking time out of their usual job at Scottish Widows, have been working around the building on Thursday and Friday, painting, gardening, tidying and helping to make the centre look good as new.
The volunteers are taking part in the Lloyds banking group day to make a difference programme where employees are able to take time off work, in addition to their annual leave allowance, to work in a community and make a difference.
