BBC Radio Scotland’s The Big Debate hosted by Gordon Brewer was at Wester Hailes today and The Digital Sentinel was there too.
The show was recorded at The WHALE Arts Centre on Friday at lunchtime. The guests were Dr Richard Simpson MSP for Mid Scotland and Fife Region, Louise Batchelor a prominent member of the Green Party, Theresa Fyffe Royal College of Nursing Scotland Director, Gordon Macdonald SNP MSP for Edinburgh Pentlands and Cameron Buchanan Conservative MSP for Lothians.
The debate covered many diverse topics including the Autumn Statement, the Smith Commission, SNP plans for Land Reform, Gordon Brown’s retirement and his political legacy and even the introduction of a vegetable vending machine in Dundee.
Unfortunately during the broadcast there were a few technical problems with BBC Radio Scotland which meant for a short time the show was not broadcast live, but you can listen to the whole show, on the bbc iplayer.
