An 11-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Sighthill this morning.
The incident happened just after 8.00am on Bankhead Drive.
A Police Scotland spokesman said:
Police in Edinburgh attended a road traffic collision involving an 11-year-old child on Bankhead Drive, Sighthill shortly after 8am this morning.
The child was taken to the Sick Kids Hospital and is in a serious condition.
Police are continuing with their enquiries.”
