Construction work on the new Link from the Healthy Living Centre to Westside Plaza has been delayed to the beginning of June.
Phase two of the creation of the new Link which is the removal of BT cables from the area was planned to finish earlier in the year. However, this has required more work than estimated and it is now thought that construction of the Link will not commence until June.
The Link will provide disabled access to the Healthy Living Centre as well as create a much better connection to Westside Plaza and the Library. There are also plans to incorporate a mural designed in collaboration with the community into the Link. You can find out more information about the fight for the Link here and about the mural here.
