Wester Hailes Edible Estates has announced that they will be welcoming their new community gardener Nicole Read tomorrow, Saturday 7 May 2016.
Our new Community Gardener is Nicole Read and she comes all the way from the West Coast of Canada. You might have seen her around the garden as she’s participated in a few children’s sessions with Shona over the last couple of weeks. Nicole has already amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience in a fairly short time, having been involved with growing projects in Canada and in Scotland. Come along and meet her at the garden tomorrow, usual time 1.00pm – 4.00pm.
Now is the time to really ramp up the seed sowing and getting the garden prepared for the growing season ahead. We have plenty of seeds and some seed potatoes so come along and get them into your plot.
