The Art room has announced they are looking to fill two vacancies a manager for maternity cover on a year’s contract as well as a permanent deputy manager to join their team at WHEC.
The Art Room is a charity that supports 5-16 year olds who are experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties.
With eight Art Rooms in schools across Oxford, London and Edinburgh now working with 500 children per week, we are a pivotal point in our development as an organisation.
The work is in line with Edinburgh term-times and part time opportunities are available.
Art Room Manager – maternity cover
This is a temporary position to provide maternity cover from 1 October 2017 to 31 October 2018
- Part-time vacancy: 4 days per week, Monday to Thursday at Wester Hailes Education Centre, Edinburgh
- Weekdays – 8.30am – 4.30pm
- Salary: £18,987 for 4 days per week
- Holidays: In line with school holidays and term dates
- Period: 1 October 2017 to 31 October 2018

Art Room Deputy Manager – part time
- Part-time vacancy: 3 days per week, Monday to Wednesday at Wester Hailes Education Centre, Edinburgh
- Weekdays – 8.30am – 4.30pm (with some preparation and administration outside of these hours)
- Salary: £13,638 for 3 days per week
- Holidays: In line with school holidays and term dates
- Start date: 1 September 2017 or asap
