Local Film seeking Extras and Other Roles

Film ‘Dark Devices’ written by local resident Kerry Clifton is seeking actors, extras and production assistants from Wester Hailes in preparation for their filming in 2022.

When 12 year old Lucy’s parents separate, life becomes unbearable living with her mum who turned to alcohol.  Although Lucy is popular with friends, she feels neglected and abandoned by her mother and father.  Lucy seeks comfort on her phone and on social media which leads her down a dark path.

Meanwhile ‘Preadtors Hunters’ have  their suspect in their sights but will they be too late to save Lucy?

The grooming part of the film will be done in a very tactful way and kept clean. So this can be used to educate children and parents of some of the dangers.  They hope to begin filming in 2022 but the start date is dependant on filming.

Roles available range from all ages and backgrounds. They want the extras to show a diverse range of people as this is the society we live in. For more involved roles they ask for experienced actors due to the sensitive nature of the film.

If you have any production skills you think could help on the days of filming, like security, hair or make-up please get in touch. They are seeking to have as many locals involved as possible and make this a real community film.

There are also opportunities for local businesses to be shown in the film, some they require to film in or are asking for donations to hire equipment as needed  to bring together a really powerful film with an important message.  If your business appears in the film they will receive an IMDB film credit and promotion on their film pages social media as a special thank you.
