Future Edinburgh: City Mobility Consultation

Future Edinburgh City Mobility Consultation

The City of Edinburgh Council are holding a consultation asking for your views on how they can create good places to live and work across Edinburgh.

They are asking people’s views on a framework for how our limited street space can best be used to provide a more welcoming environment for all. The Council has set out proposed actions in five plans which aim to:

  • make Edinburgh’s streets accessible for everyone
  • improve public transport and active transport networks
  • fully join-up the cycle network
  • deliver a people-friendly city centre including vibrant shopping streets
  • create safer, thriving neighbourhoods
  • achieve ambitious road safety targets, including zero fatalities on our road network by 2030
  • harmful emissions across the city.

The Council is holding drop ins across the city where you can find out more before giving your views online. They will be holding one next Wednesday 14 June 2023 at Wester Hailes Education Centre, 3.00pm – 7.00pm

If you are in the city centre, you can also drop into the City Art Centre, 2 Market Street, Edinburgh EH1 1DE on:

  • Friday 9 June from 1pm to 5pm
  • Saturday 10 June from 10am to 4pm.
