One of the five Lowland Games Events organised by Sports Scotland Active Schools in Edinburgh will be held at Wester Hailes Education Centre on Friday 19 September 2014. Sports Scotland hopes the Lowland Games event will continue the excitement created by the Commonwealth Games to create a lasting Athletics legacy.
In the morning P4 pupils will complete in a variety of athletic activities and then in the afternoon pupils of all ages in the area together with their parents, family and friends are invited to attend a festival of sport where there will be an opportunity to take part in a range of different sports, delivered by community clubs.
The event will have golf, athletics, basketball and a number of outdoor adventure sports on offer. It is free of charge and is open to the local community.
The event will run from 1pm to 3pm.
