Local textile group Make Do and Mend was full today as it held a community drop-in helping local people learn new skills, how to recycle old textiles and get busy crafting.
The drop in was joined by a group of ladies from Nari Kallyan Shangho (NKS) a charity which aims to alleviate deprivation and isolation experienced by South Asian women and their families living in Edinburgh and to promote positive health and well-being among them.
Joining together the two groups used salvaged materials to make their own WHALE Arts themed keyrings. Make Do and Mend which will end its current block of sessions on Tuesday 20 September 2016 meets at the WHALE Arts Centre on Tuesday mornings 10.30am – 12.30pm.
