Wester Hailes Connects Outreach Worker Job Share Vacancy

SCOREscotland are looking to recruit a part-time Wester Hailes Connects Outreach Worker as part of a job share.

The post is fixed term for 16 months, working 14 hours per week with a salary of £26,575 (pro rata).

The Outreach Worker will support the new Wester Hailes Connects project by generating engagement, working closely with partner organisations’ staff and developing new digital connections between local groups and services. This post is part of a job share.

Wester Hailes Connects is a partnership project comprising SCOREscotland, Prospect Community Housing, WHALE Arts, CHAI and Open Heavens Church. The project aims to increase the number of people in the local community who have more confidence and control over their economic circumstances through the development of digital skills. The primary focus of the job is to connect people, groups and organisations into the project, in particular enabling individuals who need intensive one to one support to access project activities. The postholder will have demonstrable experience and expertise in engaging effectively with marginalised individuals, experience of working in areas of high deprivation and be confident with a wide range of digital skills.

The Outreach Worker will work collaboratively with other staff working on Wester Hailes Connects to deliver the aims of the project.

This post is funded by Power Up, an initiative by Good Things Foundation, with the financial support of J.P Morgan.

The closing date for applications is Mid-day (12 noon) Monday 25th November 2019. Job interviews are scheduled to take place on Thursday 5th December 2019.
