Willow Gardening Group Sessions

The Willow Gardening Group is a gardening project run by The Health Agency which aims to help participants improve their health through involvement in practical conservation as well as taking part in outdoor arts and crafts activities.

The group meets on Tuesdays 1.00pm at the Willow Garden (located along the canal next to Bridge 8, formerly knows as the Calders Community Garden) and is open to all to come and spend time and get stuck in to some gardening. Whether you are new to gardening or bring plenty of experience you’re very welcome to join.

We grow lots of medicinal herbs and fruits as well as maintaining a wildlife garden and space for the community to be in nature. The group runs each week but we do occasionally have to cancel if the weather is awful. We’ll try to let you know/post on here if we have to cancel.

As it is a large outdoors space it is easy to socially distance – if you can bring a pair of gardeing gloves along that’s great. Hand sanitser is on site. Otherwise come dressed for the weather, bring some water and a snack if you like, tools provided.
