Planning Futures for Parents

Space and the Broomhouse Hub are launching their latest personal development and career preparation course, Planning Futures for Parents, held every Monday, 9.30am – 12.30pm from 8 May 2023.

It is a really fun and engaging group-based programme designed for Edinburgh parents who are currently unemployed or looking to change careers.

The course takes place over six weeks, and the group comes together every week to learn and discuss ways to:

  • Develop job-seeking skills
  • Effectively work as part of a team
  • Strengthen self-esteem, motivation, and stress control techniques
  • Establish stabilizing lifestyles
  • Develop communication skills

All training is provided free of charge thanks to kind funding from Capital City Partnership, and travel costs can be covered where required. All group members will also receive a Certificate of Achievement on completion of the course.

Places are limited, however, so if you’re interested in signing up to the course please get in touch with Training and Employability Project Worker Hazel Lyons on 07821 640515 or email hazel.lyons@spacescot.org.
