Wester Hailes Library have announced that they are hosting an Adult Introduction to Garment Making course for intermediate sewists.
The course will be taught by professional sewist, Cerri of Sew Gallus, and you’ll get to follow a pattern to make a skirt. This is a 6 week course, and you’d need to be available for 6 sessions on Wednesday evenings 5.45pm – 7.45pm from 4 February to 11 March 2026.
You must already be comfortable sewing with and threading a sewing machine, as this course will be for those who have already learned the basics. It is perfect if you’ve done a few projects on your own but want to start learning how to follow patterns and make clothes. The course is free and all materials are provided.
