
Space at the Broomhouse Hub are currently recruiting for a part-time caretaker position.
The post would be contracted to 12-15 hours per week with potential for paid overtime, with a salary of £13ph increasing to £13.45ph from 1st April.

Working as part of our facilities team you’ll be a key part of getting The Hub ready for our many groups, classes and visitors as well as making sure the building is kept safe and sound. We are expecting this to be a popular position and would encourage you to apply early!
Key Responsibilities in this role
Building Safety & Maintenance
- Carry out daily, weekly and monthly cleaning and maintenance tasks across internal and external areas
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, appearance and safety throughout the building and grounds
- Act as a key holder, responsible for opening, closing and securing the premises
- Carry out minor repairs to fixtures, fittings and equipment
- Monitor stock levels of supplies, place orders and take delivery ensuring safe storage
- Be proactive in identifying, reporting and responding to health and safety issues, accidents or near misses
- Act as a Fire Marshal while on shift, including carrying out fire safety checks, alarm testing and monitoring escape routes
- Coordinate and monitor contractors working on site to ensure safe working practices
Events & Room Hire
- Support internal and external room booking enquiries
- Ensure rooms are clean and set up ready for use at the required time, this will include moving furniture and equipment
- Provide a high standard of customer service to encourage repeat bookings
