Police in Edinburgh are continuing to appeal for information to help trace Michal Oraczewski, 33, who is missing from Wester Hailes.
Michal was reporting missing to police on Thursday, 3 September, 2026.
The last confirmed sighting of Michal was in the Hailesland Grove area during the evening of Monday, 6 July, 2026. At this time, he suggested he was going to work in Glasgow.
While it is not out of a character for Michal to not be in regular contact with people he knows, officers are growing concerned for his welfare.
Michal’s first language is Polish, and he speaks fluent English. He is described as white, around 6ft tall, and of slim build. When last seen he was wearing dark blue jeans and a navy blue t-shirt.
In the past, he has undertaken contract cleaning work and anyone who may have worked with Michal during the summer is asked to come forward with any information on his whereabouts.
Officers ask that anyone who has seen, or spoken to Michal, to get in touch.
Inspector Paul Begley said:
Over the past two weeks we have conducted extensive enquiries in the Wester Hailes and surrounding areas in efforts to trace Michal.
I’m asking anyone who knows Michal, who may have seen him since July, or has any information on where he may be, to please get in touch.
I’d also like to directly appeal to Michal; if you see or hear about this appeal, please contact officers and let us know you are okay.
