Get close to science at Heriot-Watt with Doors Open Day

Doors Open Day Scotland’s largest free festival that celebrates heritage and the built environment is almost upon us!

It offers free access to over a thousand venues across the country throughout September, every year. The aim of Doors Open Days is to ensure that Scotland’s built heritage, new and old, is made accessible to people living and visiting the country on weekends in September.

Venues all across Edinburgh will be opening their doors for free, including Heriot-Watt University who will be opening the Lyell Centre on Saturday 23 September from 10.00am – 5.00pm.

Visit Heriot-Watt University and find out about the amazing research their scientists do and get hands-on with robots, sea creatures, microscopes and more! There will also be tours of their underwater exploration workshops and a chance to visit their new robotic assisted living lab.

For more information contact Heriot-Watt on HWEngage@hw.ac.uk or 0131 451 3446.
