Annette Bruton, Edinburgh College principal, said:
The new year is the perfect opportunity for a new start, and our January courses give students the opportunity to change their direction, develop their career, or join the fast track to the future they want. The courses offer the ideal new start for people who have left education early, or need a boost to their qualifications before further study, and will provide the confidence and skills needed to progress.
Many people will be beginning to think about coming to college next autumn; but why wait? If you are ready to start, then we are ready to help you with the next stage in your education.
Programmes cater for all levels, including people who left school with few qualifications or have been out of education for some time, who can join Access courses and pre-apprenticeships.
There are also intensive 18-week full-time HNC courses in areas including accounting, business and travel and tourism to give students a quick boost towards HND study.
And evening and part-time courses are available in subjects such as languages, photography, counselling, cake decoration, English for Speakers of Other Languages, welding, automotive maintenance, art portfolio preparation and SAGE accounting.
