The Iris Cancer Project has been chosen as one of five finalists for the East of Scotland region of the Big Lottery People’s Projects competition. They are an organisation which provides cancer care massage therapies and does a lot of work with Westerhaven in the Healthy Living Centre and have helped a lot of local people!
The Big Lottery Fund have set aside £3 million of National Lottery funding and with 95 organisations shortlisted, we want you to vote for the projects you would like to receive funding.
The projects are competing for up to £50,000 of funding to improve the lives of people in their communities. Search for your local projects and cast your vote by noon on 13 March 2016.
If Iris receives the funding they will be able to create 20+ new weekly clinics across Scotland, fund their volunteer scheme going forward and Iris therapists will be able to give an extra 3000 massages per year in Scotland. Voting closes on noon this Sunday 13 March 2016, so be sure to give them your vote here.
