The Willow Gardening Group has released an update detailing some of the great work they have been doing in the Calders Community Garden.
So much work done yesterday at the garden – we managed to fill the water butt, dig out and transplant a ridiculous number of strawberries, and cleared a large area to the North of the garden where the containers were until very recently – many thanks again to everyone who came along- really looking forward to seeing some colour in the garden soon- still looks a little wintery.
Look forward to welcoming a little bird family too. Thanks again to all our willing volunteers. Next week we are gong to be planting fruit trees, so lots of keen diggers required.
The group meets every Tuesday at the Healthy Living Centre at 12.45pm. They hold a lot of events so make sure you follow their Facebook page to keep up to date with everything they do.
