Firefighters from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service are tackling a blaze that has broken out at WHEC this evening, Friday 13 March 2020.
Crews arrived at the school shortly after 8pm.
On arrival at the scene they were met by a blaze within a cupboard Fortunately there are no causalities as a result of the fire.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said:
We were alerted at 8.04pm to reports of a fire within a school.
We mobilised seven appliances to Wester Hailes Education Centre where firefighters were met by a fire within a cupboard.
Crews remain on the scene working to extinguish the fire and make the area safe.
There are no casualties.
