The City of Edinburgh Council are recruiting an Early Years Domestic Support based at Canal View Primary School.
The post is Permanent, working part-time during term time 10 hours per week with a salary of £9.34 per hour.
This Early Years Domestic Support post is for our Nursery and the hours are 10 hours per week; 2.5 hours each on Monday to Thursday from 10.45am to 1.15pm.
Canal View Primary School serves the community of Wester Hailes. The school has a broad social mix and the catchment contains areas of multiple deprivation, has a Free School Meal percentage of 55%, receives ‘Positive Action’ funding and is one of the eight Scottish Attainment Challenge Schools in Edinburgh. Canal View Primary School is organised into fourteen classes from P1-7 and has a Nursery offering 50 full-time places.
The school is led by a management team of a Head Teacher, Depute Head Teacher, 2 Principal Teachers and a Business Manager. There are eighteen class teachers and two full time and one part time Support for Learning Teachers ably supported by two part time School Administrators, a Senior Early Years Officer, a team of Early Years Practitioners and Pupil Support Assistants, two Pupil Support Officers and a Facilities Technician.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
