Teenager taken to hospital following crash near Forrester High School

A teenager was taken to hospital yesterday after being struck by a bus near Forrester High School.

The incident took place on South Gyle Access near Forrester High School around 2.50pm this afternoon, Tuesday 21 October 2025.

Emergency services including several police cars and ambulances attended and the scene was cordoned off to facilitate the investigation. The road was also closed but has since re-opened.

The teenager was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment. His condition has not been released at this time.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said:

Around 2.50pm on Tuesday, 21 October, 2025, we received a report of a crash involving a teenage pedestrian and a bus at South Gyle Access, Edinburgh.

The male was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing. The road has re-opened.
