
Local officers have been targeting antisocial behaviour and the use of illegal e-bikes in the Wester Hailes area.
They have been supported by colleagues from the dog unit, motorcycle unit and have also used a drone.
On Tuesday, 26 May, 2026, officers traced, arrested, and charged a 24-year-old man in connection with a serious assault and drugs offences. He was due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 27 May, 2026.
An illegal e-bike was seized and enquiries are ongoing to trace its owner. Officers are also following up reports of illegal e-bikes being used in the Sighthill Park area.
Officers also stopped and searched three males in the Murrayburn area. All three have been charged in connection with drugs offences and reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
A stolen car was recovered from Longstone Crescent and enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible for the theft.
